Jackie Smith is a Partner in Landmark Europe. Prior to joining Landmark, Jackie led the public affairs function at international law firm Lovells. There she was responsible for building the EU Regulatory & Public Affairs practice, which in 2007 was recognised as the leading pan-European Agro-Food RPA practice by the respected legal directory Chambers Europe.
Jackie has extensive experience of providing strategic advice on national and EU public policy and regulation to a wide range of clients, notably in the agro-food, environmental, financial services and consumer product sectors. Clients value her experience and intelligence, combined with a proactive attitude, a keen eye for detail and acute political instincts. This has resulted in her being regularly ranked among the top three EU and UK regulatory and public affairs practitioners by the independent legal directories.
Jackie is respected for her ability to communicate complex issues effectively to a wide range of audiences. She has authored technical reports on EU regulatory and policy developments in the agro-food, biotechnology and health sectors for, among others, the Economist Intelligence Unit and Corporate Intelligence on Retailing.
